Coffee Hour

London Health Sciences Centre , 7th Floor, Paediatric Oncology,
WEDNESDAY MORNINGS, 11:00 a.m. – 12noon

Coffee Hour is an informal drop in for in-patient parent's to put their feet up and enjoy some treats and conversation.

Childcan invites all in-patient parents to enjoy coffee, tea, and light refreshments every Wednesday morning.

Parent Support Group Meetings - Monthly
London, Sarnia, Windsor

Presently Childcan holds monthly support group meetings for parents across the region on a monthly basis. All parent's are invited to attend the monthly meetings.

The meetings are an informal format. The evening usually begins with a topic and guest speaker chosen by the group and the remainder of the evening is an open chat forum. All parent's are welcome to attend.

**NOTE** Meetings take place from October to June and are on hiatus for the summer and for busy back to school time and September Cancer Awareness Month. If a meeting falls during any time such as March Break it is usually moved to the following week if it is available or is missed for that month.**

Phone Call Reminder List

Each month the week prior to the meeting a Childcan volunteer calls parent's as reminder about the upcoming meeting.

Childcan also provides a fun activity night for children and their sibs provided by Childcan volunteers.

Meeting Dates, Times, Places

SARNIA - First Monday of Each Month

Location: New Horizons Church, 383 Maxwell Street, Sarnia, Ontario (Lower Level - Meeting Room)

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Light Refreshments provided!

LONDON- Second Wednesday

Location: Wellington Street United Church, 156 Wellington Street (Corner of Grey St. & Wellington Street, near old Victoria Hospital Site, Entrance off of Grey St.)

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Light Refreshments provided!

WINDSOR-Third Wednesday of Each Month

Location: Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus, 1995 Lens Avenue, Windsor, Ontario (4th Floor Pediatric Meeting/Playroom)

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Light Refreshments provided!

Childcan Christmas Parties

All Childcan families are welcome to attend including those on active treatment, off treatment and bereaved families.  We ask that when you RSVP to attend one of the events that you provide the total number of immediate family members attending the event and their ages. All children from 0-18 will receive a gift from Santa.

Includes: Pizza, goodies, refreshments, goofy golf, Christmas music and sing-a-long by the Gagne Family, and a visit from Saint Nick, himself.

Childcan New Years Eve

This event is for all children, families, who are unable to be home for New Year’s Eve!
